Nokia N95 vs. Sony Ericsson P1

June 6, 2008

There are many territories that mobile phone companies fight on. Camera phones, music phones, fashion phones… But the big guns really come out to play when you look at smart phones. Let’s check out two of the best in the field, the Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson P1.

Nokia N95 – the king of Nokia

It was also the first mobile phone in the UK to feature a 5 megapixel camera, a fact that undoubtedly helped Nokia sell thousands of units. But it wasn’t just the camera. If anything, that camera was the just the starting point, and they built the N95 up from there!

The Nokia N95 also featured, in what would become a massive selling point, built-in GPS and sat-nav. Not many (if there were even any at all) mobile phones were including that at the time, and the ability to use your phone as a sat-nav… well, it rocked. Since the N95 was built around Symbian Series 60, as well, meaning you could install your own software, and get this awesome Nokia to do things its creators had never even dreamed of. It was, and is, a true smartphone.

Sony Ericsson P1 – the smartphone king

Sony Ericsson P1 has a 3.2 Megapixel camera with 3x zoom and auto focus, a 2.6-inch LCD touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth and support for H.264 video playback.

The Sony Ericsson P1 runs the Symbian OS v9.1 and and UIQ 3.0. It has QWERTY keyboard and 160MB internal memory while there is also a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot.

But it’s not just about features, the experience of using it is the important thing. If i tell you that which mobile is best for that would be my opinion.

The SolarRoll:Sun Power For Laptops, Cell Phones etc

June 5, 2008

The SolarRoll from BRUNTON, is a solar panel which you can bring around to charge your devices. It is available in 3 sizes and can charge quite a lot of things such as laptops, PDAs, satellite phone, GPS devices, cell phones, digital camera etc. They said that this SolarRoll can even charge you car’s battery. This is one of the handy stuff to bring along to the camp. Brunton SolarRoll is available in different sizes and priced at between $199-$499. The SolarRoll is also waterproof.

It’s big, at nearly five feet when unfurled, and as heavy as your laptop at 17 ounces. Brunton also has smaller models available.

Top Three Electric Cars

June 4, 2008
1. Tesla Roadster
This $100,000 two-seater packed with 6,831 laptop batteries is now shipping in limited numbers. Originally, the 2,700-pound vehicle could zip from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, but since then its problematic transmission has been limited to one gear only, reducing that acceleration to a 0 to 60 time of 5.9 seconds.
Tesla Motorspromises to replace that makeshift transmission with a new unit as soon as it’s developed; meanwhile, Tesla says it will roll out 1,000 cars this year, with the waiting list into next year already full.

2.Fisker Karma

Check out this Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid sports car, a comely road rocket whose designer Henrik Fisker hails from BMW and Aston Martin. The $80K car supposedly will go 125 mph, but beyond that number and lots of sexy pictures, the company is mum about the progress with its power plant it says is made by Quantum Technologies. Too bad the company is now being sued by Tesla Motors for swiping trade secrets. Fisker says he’ll be showing off a test vehicle before this summer, and hopes to produce the first cars sometime in 2009. So far, it’s a lot of talk.

3.Renault-Nissan

Here’s a novel idea: Give away electric cars, and then sell battery maintenance in a contract-based business model. Called Project Better Place, it’s a plan scheduled to start this year that involves a huge grid of parking meter-like charging units, along with refueling stations where the entire battery can be quickly swapped out for a fresh one. The cars, jointly developed by Renault-Nissan, will have a 100+ mile range, a 100 mph top speed and will go 0 to 60 in under 10 seconds.

The TV Watch By NHJ Japan

June 3, 2008

The TV Watch has a 1.5″ colour screen, which relies on TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology to deliver a high-resolution(133,338) picture that is superior to anything traditional televisions can offer.

The TV Wristwatch is powered by a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery which provides an hour of viewing time, but you can extend this to 3 hours by placing the watch on its smart little battery-powered docking station. For unlimited viewing time (and to charge the watch) simply plug the docking station into the mains.

The only other TV watch ever to be released was by Seiko between 1982 and 1985 (pictured below) as used in the James Bond film Octopussy. However, due to the fact that a huge receiver box also had to be carried it was never a huge success.The VTV-201 changes all this – No more bulk. There is no receiver box to carry, everything is now self contained within the watch itself.

Included :

* TV watch unit
* Earphone
* Wristband with holder

* Neck strap
* Recharger / Docking station
* Requires 4 x AA Batteries (Batteries not included)
* Can be operated without batteries by using AC adapter provided
* AC adapter
* Electric plug
* Manufacturers warranty card
