Nokia N95 vs. Sony Ericsson P1
June 6, 2008There are many territories that mobile phone companies fight on. Camera phones, music phones, fashion phones… But the big guns really come out to play when you look at smart phones. Let’s check out two of the best in the field, the Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson P1.
Nokia N95 – the king of Nokia
It was also the first mobile phone in the UK to feature a 5 megapixel camera, a fact that undoubtedly helped Nokia sell thousands of units. But it wasn’t just the camera. If anything, that camera was the just the starting point, and they built the N95 up from there!
The Nokia N95 also featured, in what would become a massive selling point, built-in GPS and sat-nav. Not many (if there were even any at all) mobile phones were including that at the time, and the ability to use your phone as a sat-nav… well, it rocked. Since the N95 was built around Symbian Series 60, as well, meaning you could install your own software, and get this awesome Nokia to do things its creators had never even dreamed of. It was, and is, a true smartphone.
Sony Ericsson P1 – the smartphone king
Sony Ericsson P1 has a 3.2 Megapixel camera with 3x zoom and auto focus, a 2.6-inch LCD touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth and support for H.264 video playback.
The Sony Ericsson P1 runs the Symbian OS v9.1 and and UIQ 3.0. It has QWERTY keyboard and 160MB internal memory while there is also a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot.
But it’s not just about features, the experience of using it is the important thing. If i tell you that which mobile is best for that would be my opinion.
I will support all N95 rather than Sony Ericsson P1. Ok p1 have many best features but can’t beat n95 features.
Nokia n95 is good but sony eric p1 is better.Its not abt having functions but its usability that matters.N95 has inbuilt GPS,likewise some se p1 introduced in india.The 5mp cam of nokia n95 cant even compete wt d 3.2mp cam of se p1(which has a better pic quality).N95 has no track id recognitn functn,no busines card scanner which are all available in se p1.P1 anyway has its own lapses but its clear,p1 is slightly cheaper,a business phone with more modern technology.

N95 is 1000 times better than P1.
1) GPS
2) Camera 5 mpx with Carl Zeiss, even a N95 can beat a K850 (which is one of the best SE camera-phones of 5 mpx) in the day because of the flash. The N82 can beat totally the K850… So, N95/N82 can beat more easy the P1…
3) MicroSD memory, superior than M2 micro
4) Symbian S60 (Only in Nokia, and some Samsung) better than UIQ
5) N95 is a multimedia smartphone… 3.5 mm jack…
The only advantage over the N95 is the touchscreen and PARTIAL qwerty keyboard…
The competitor for N95 isn’t none of PSeries, is the SE G900, please!!!
Oh i forget that…
P1 (and G900) doesn’t have accelerometer, TV Output, the N95 have that things
…
