After featuring a black Nokia Aeon, we thought we’d write about a phone that is just as pretty and a little bit more real.
Also promoted as an MP3 phone, the Haier Black Pearl is a lozenge-shaped handset that’s about three times as large as a real lozenge and only a little bit harder to swallow. It only weighs 2.24 ounces or 65 grams and has the exact dimensions of 3.5″ L x 1 1/4″ W x 3/4″ D. Haier is a manufacturer of a varied array of electronics and products. Haier isn’t focused on manufacturing cell phones like Motorola is, but you have to admit that it makes a better-looking phone.
The Haier Black Pearl is a really unique handset in that it isn’t only tinier compared to othermicro handsets, it also stands apart by being as fully functional as any average-sized mobile. Besides being an MP3 player, the Black Pearl has stereo Bluetooth, USB memory drive, an additional 1GB Trans-Flash slot and even 3D graphics. The thumb rocker on the side makes for a delightful navigation

Shifting to a black color versus the silver of the Verizon model, the smartphone shares the same unlocked SIM card slot and allow connections to GSM networks as well as its native CDMA. Customers have the choice of either signing up for a custom Sprint plan or leaving the GSM card open to sign for another provider altogether if they expect to use an outside network for a long time, the company says. The phone itself is be priced similarly to Verizon’s handset and other BlackBerries, selling in July for $200 with a two-year contract and rebates. All of us who have been on a plane know about how long you have to wait before you can board because of the annoyingly thorough check-ups you have to pass before you can go on your trip. But from now on you can leave all those controls behind thanks to the new Flyclear card. And it only costs $99.95 a year and the fee for TSA of $28.
To get one, you have to go to a Clear center and present two official identification cards. Then you have to take a photo and give them your biometric information. They suggest that you should have a US passport, but foreign people are welcomed to.
So now you can eliminate the stress from your plane trips, not worry about those hidden pierces and miss a lot less planes. The Flyclear has already been put into function but for very few airports like Orlando, San Jose and JFK and the service is not available all day long. But there are plans to expand this technology.

Have you ever wondered if in the future you’ll still have to carry along with you, your watch, your mobile phone, DPA or PMP? The answer is simple: NO, because you’ll have at your disposal gadgets that will replace very well all your past gadgets and a lot more.

An example of these future gadgets is the one conceived by James Zhang, ‘Connext’, now it’s only in profile fase, based on a modern interface, great design and high functions all that made for making the owner’s life easier.
It has an OLED display in the centre bounded by flexible and sensitive facets when pressing or moving, these facets are actually playing the role of the well known keys or buttons. So we have a completely ductile electronical device which can adapt at any of the owners desires.

By choosing the right function of the menu, Connext becomes a computer, a multimedia player, a personal assistant, a mobile phone or a console for different games.
Also to make it more handily, the gadget can easily become a simply watch by approaching it to your wrist.
New concepts are always interesting. Probably for the people that lived in the 50?s, it would have fascinated them to have their own computer just like we are fascinated now by this new gadget Connext. One thing is for sure, technology is evolving rapidly, and the necessity of an all-in-one product which can be carried along easily, that must also have a great look, is more than obvious.

Whether you consider them a status symbol or a fundamental part of staying connected with the world, cell phones have not only become popular, they’ve become nearly necessary in our increasingly technological society. People love getting their hands on the latest gadgets and we most recently experienced this craze with the Apple iPhone.
Granted, the iPhone may not be the best business tool for a number of reasons — lack of third-party application support, no physical QWERTY keyboard, no 3G connectivity, etc. — but it has been a huge hit in the marketplace because it’s pretty to look at and a lot of folks love everything that Apple produces. The slick interface makes for some great eye candy.
Which leads us to wonder, how excited would people be about getting a Google Phone? There have been rumors floating around for several months now stating that the search engine giant is indeed working on a piece of hardware — there are already some cell phones out there that have been designed to run mobile Google apps — but Google has neither confirmed nor denied these reports. Now we’re hearing that Google may reveal their freshman foray into the cell phone market in as little as two weeks.
What you see above is a concept picture based on e-ink technology, but at this point, that design is probably a pipe dream. Just hop onto Google (ironically enough), search for Google Phone concept pictures and you’ll get an idea of what people are thinking, but until the big G has an official unveiling, it’s all conjecture.
